After making his last post here on the DPDC blog on Monday the 18th,
Dale Bowling, the man responsible for truly revitalizing this blog with
so many timely, intellectually stimulating and sensitive blog posts,
took his life after a long period of depression.
The sadness we
feel for his family and for our Democratic family at the loss of this
deeply insightful and caring person is not speakable. Please read his
Monday blog piece, feel his words and, if you would, offer a moment to
send gratitude to the Universe for the time he was here and healing to
his friends and family as they move toward a different future than they
had planned.

Truly sad news. I have learned to respect Dale as a writer and Progressive thinker with heart and passion. He will be missed. My heart goes out to his family and friends in this difficult time.
ReplyDeleteNever met Dale Bowling but greatly distressed to hear about his untimely passing as we were kindred spirits in the progressive blogging field. I had recently added him to my blog post distribution list at the suggestion of Tom Wendorf and he commentated on one or two. We can honor him by not giving up and not giving in to the forces doing so much harm to our county, our state, our nation, our one world. There's a lot of work to be done...and we can't do it when we're gone.
