Dear Members of the Democratic Party in DuPage,
The excitement around the Supreme Court's looming Prop. 8 and DOMA decisions is reaching a fever pitch. The decisions will come tomorrow.
As we count down the final hours to a ruling, we have to show the world the power of America's pro-equality majority. How? By painting the Internet red with HRC's red equality logo.
Here's how to do it:
Step 1: Download our brand new iPhone app or Android app for your smartphone.
Step 2: Follow the instructions in our handy how-to guide:
And if you don’t have a smartphone, you can easily “go red” on Facebook or Twitter through our website or our easy-to-use Facebook app.
Together, we're creating the visual representation of a turning tide. One profile photo at a time, we're making it a safer, more accepting world to come out, to live openly, and to support equal rights as a straight ally.
One profile at a time, we're sending a message of inclusion and love all while we demand changes to laws born of hatred and fear.
Help send that message now by changing your social media profile photo.
Sincerely,
Chad Griffin President
P.S. We'll be holding a national town-hall conference call after the decisions to talk about the next chapter of this movement – click here for details on how to join.
P.P.S. To be the first to know when the Supreme Court's ruling comes down, join HRC's Mobile Action Network by texting the word MARRIAGE to 30644 now.
