America's Mayor Not a Wuss

Nicknamed "America's Mayor" by Al Gore when he chaired the DNC during the 2000 presidential election, Ed Rendell really performed an urban miracle in Philadelphia. DPDC's own Blog Master and Clarendon Hills resident, Dale Bowling, attended University of Pennsylvania when Rendell was mayor and had this to say "I lived in Philadelphia when Ed Rendell was Mayor and I remember that the city went through something of a Renaissance back then. You could go from West Philly to Center City to Bella Vista and everyplace was being revitalized. It was a great place to live under Mayor Rendell."
