Since we are posting this in advance, we can all hope the shutdown is over by now and has been for days. Whether it is or not, here are some tips worth clipping and putting on your fridge about how to thrive in your life and keep the stress down to an absolute minimum.
Cultivate Gratitude
Carve out an hour a day for solitude
Begin each day with a prayer, meditation or reflection
Keep your house picked up
Don't overschedule
Strive for realistic deadlines
Don't make promises you can't keep
Allow an extra half hour for everything you do
Create quiet surroundings in your home and work space
Go to be at 9:00 twice a week
